Former Sanders Delegates Vote Overwhelmingly
To Relaunch Bernie Delegates Network for 2019

Former Bernie Sanders delegates to the 2016 Democratic National Convention have voted to reactivate the independent Bernie Delegates Network.

The vote was 418 “yes” to 25 “no” in response to this question: “Do you favor a relaunch of the independent Bernie Delegates Network in 2019?”

Organizers called the vote “a landslide” and said they're proceeding to relaunch the nationwide network in January 2019.

The election was conducted online over a five-day period. Former delegates were given a unique code that could only be used to vote once.

The two organizations that sponsored the Bernie Delegates Network in 2016 -- Progressive Democrats of America and RootsAction.org -- conducted the new survey and will sponsor the relaunched network.

Representing millions of voters who made it clear that they want democracy instead of oligarchy, the Bernie Sanders delegates to the Democratic National Convention needed a variety of communication sources. The independent Bernie Delegates Network was one of them, sharing information and ideas before, during, and after the convention. In 2019, the relaunched network will facilitate unity for a political revolution while helping former delegates to keep apprised of fast-moving developments.
